BPTC — Duties Of The Saturday Captain
Prepare Roster Duty: (This must be displayed on the notice board in the foyer and a copy given to the Web Master for placing on club website).
Each week no later than Wednesday a courtesy call to remind members of their Duty for the immediate Saturday. If they are unavailable it is their responsibility to swap with another member and advise you accordingly.
Arrive at the club no later than 12:45pm and ensure the following are completed:
a) Unlock the gates
b) Remove tennis cans etc from the locked container in the foyer
c) Zip to be filled and turned on, cups, coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits to be put on the servery for afternoon tea
d) Ensure foyer entrance is tidy from debris/leaves etc. Brooms are stored in the Men's changing room.
NOTE: One of the duty members should assist you with this
Welcome notices to any new members/visitors and notices to be given at approximately 2.30pm (before people start to head away).
At completion of day's play ensure the following:
a) Balls to be returned to cans and locked way in container in the foyer
b) All court gates to be locked.
c) Any balls left on the courts to be collected
Pavillion should be left in a tidy/clean condition. This responsibilty is usually undertaken by the Canteen Duty Management Member.
At no time is any member to open new cans of balls, (the exception being Rostered Duty Members).

– A, B and C are playing Groups. X are not available that week. R are reserves for that week
– If you are unable to play it is your responsibility to get one of the reserve players to replace you ..... and you must inform Hugh Webber (358-3235) of this change
– When there are 4 or more reserves (shown as R), the reserves can arrange to make up a third playing four, however you need to inform Hugh if you have made this arrangement. Please remember, your first responsibility is to fill in for a Group A, B, or C player if asked, even if this is on a Monday morning !
– IF BAD WEATHER FORCES CANCELLATION, THERE WILL BE AN ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE SENIOR NOTICEBOARD (Club Website Dynamic Information Page) BY 12:00
– Cost of balls is $15.00. Hugh Webber will collect the money when required.
