The club wishes to acknowledge the assistance of Sam MacDonald (City Councillor) and Jonathan (CCC arborist) for the work on thinning and removing some trees around our tennis courts. This work will ensure we get better use of our courts in the north-east area in the cooler months. This area was heavily shaded and gathered a lot of moss. Any attempt to use these courts in winter was dangerous. Now there will be a good flow through of breeze, light and sun.
Also, the clearance of the out-of-control foliage when driving into the carpark from Avonhead Road is a huge improvement to safety – both for pedestrians and vehicles.
