WHAT WE OFFER
The club employs a coach to organise competition play and provide coaching to members and non-members at all ability levels. Our coach takes responsibility for the selection of Premier and Div 1 & 2 teams as well as running holiday programmes, Easi Tennis (adult group lessons) and offering private lessons at the club.
For the juniors, one-hour coaching sessions are offered to 'Learn to Play' members on Saturday mornings in Term Four and Term One. Juniors who wish to play competition (inter-club) tennis over the summer are also assessed during these sessions for inclusion in the best team for their ability.
Interclub team coaching also runs in Terms Four and One over approximately 15 weeks, and Junior Performance Squads run throughout the year. Private coaching is available on request by contacting our coach.
The Club also owns a ball machine available for members to use, by arrangement.
Burnside Park Tennis Club offers 10 courts. Six are hardcourts with synthetic coatings. Four are AstroTurf (synthetic grass).
Courts 1-3 (hard courts) and 4-7 (synthetic) are flood lit allowing play and coaching in the evenings right through the year.
Non-members are also welcome. Court fees are $10 per hour.
Senior players who wish to try out the facilities for free are invited to come along on Saturday Club Day between 1pm and 5pm.
The pavilion offers a north facing panoramic view of the courts. It features a spacious lounge, kitchen and bar area upstairs with comfortable seating and an audiovisual system including big screen TV. Downstairs are the foyer, club notice-boards, offices and toilet/shower facilities.
Casual players are welcome at any time, but member players always take priority, so, join now!
Members are also able to rent a KeyCard giving access to the courts at all times, so why not order one at the same time?
