Thanks to the generosity of New Zealand Community Trust (NZCT) we have started work on replacing courts 4, 5, 6 & 7.
This week the team removed all the old turf from Court 7 and found the original hard court underneath. This will be replaced as a new hard court and will be out of action for about four weeks.
Courts 4, 5 & 6 will have their turf replaced next. This will start from approximately the third week of September and will be unavailable for up to three weeks.
For Health and safety reasons, we ask that you keep well away from the courts while they are being worked on, and the contractors & their equipment when they are on site.
We are still fundraising to cover the full cost of the court upgrades. A raffle is coming out in October with 4 amazing prizes up for grabs. Tickets will be $5 each or a book of five for $20. Each club member will be given two books to sell.
We are also seeking donations from club members and the wider community. If you would like to help (or know of anyone else who could help) our fundraising efforts we are happy to accept donations of any value. Larger donations will be acknowledged publicly (or not if you wish to remain anonymous).
